DEKACON was engaged by NSW NPWS to upgrade the amenities blocks within Sheep Station Creek campground, a popular destination for campers situated within Border Ranges National Park.
The works involved;
- Sensitivity to, and careful construction amongst World-Heritage listed rainforest
- Removal and replacement of rotten / failing timber access ramps with treated hardware subframe
- Installation of FRP Heel Guard walk way flooring to provide non-slip, durable access to the amenities
- Roof line extension over facility access / walkways
- Reroofing of amenities blocks inclusive of clear roof sheeting for natural light
- Removal of overgrown vegetation around base of structure to provide longevity to footings / structure base
- Pressure cleaning of structures prior to painting
- Painting of structure using Intergrain heavy duty timber oil
