DEKACON (formally Civilcrete) was engaged by the Byron Shire Council to refurbish the existing footbridge spanning Belongil creek. This work involved;
- Removal of weathered / rotting timber boarding
- Installation of Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Heel Guard Grating; a durable and long-lasting material used for its longevity and resistance to the elements
- Concrete ties in on entry and exist of bridge
- Securing underside of bridge via the use of watercraft / barge
- Nightworks to minimise impacts to the public
- Traffic Control
